raising Stock op Lemon Tbees (Orchardist>; --The lemon will graft on to the orange, that is not tho best way to raise a stock o f trees. As you have already half-a-dozen lemon trees that are doing well and giving good crops, you should layer thoso trees, taking only the outer branches and bringing thorn down to the ground. As perhaps you ■ liavo not had much experience in layering, could easily employ a gardener who understands it. He could put down all the layers required at a very little cost. The best time to layer is after the first late autumn rains. I£ you again communicate with me early next March I might then be able to give you farther information.
