NEW SOUTH WALES PARLIAMENT.
SIR HENRY PARKES RESIGNS.
Sydney, this day. A meeting ofv the Cabinet was held yesterday afternoon to consider the political situation, and although nothing has been officially announced, it is understood that Sir Henry Parkes has intimated his intention of resigning the Premiership, and also his seat as member for the constituency of St. Leonard's.
It is expected that the Government will tender their resignation on Monday.
Sir H. Parkes says it is impossible in any way to be satisfied with the present Parliament. He does not think there is any chance of success in the direction of coalition, and is decidedly of opinion that there must be a dissolution within the-next few months.
