SUPPOSED INCENDIARISM.

(BY TELEGKAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION),

Gisborne, this day. On Thursday night last, a fifteen-roomed house which was being erected for Lieut. - Colonel Porter, was destroyed by fire. The builder was Mr J. Ponsford, who states the house would have been completed in three weeks' time. He is insured in the New Ztaland office for £450 but estimates his loss at £100 above thab. The origin of the fire is a mystery. Last night, another house nearing completion was destroyed in a similar and it is thought must be incendiary. An inquiry is to be hold to day.
