MILITARY AND NAVAL CLAIMS.

(To the-Editor.)

Sib, —Kindly allpw me a spaca for this letter re naval and military claims for land. I myself and others were strongly advised to send in our claims and sworn statements as early as possible laab session, which was done, and all that could be done by me to satisfy the Naval and Military .Committee, or any reasonable Government; but what has this Committee done? They have shelved all the claims and sworn statements till the end of the session, but they forgot to shelve their pay —whafc they were paid for. The Committee has now put the work on another Commissioner, which means putting us back another twelve months or two years. Let me ask you is this justice? It has cost more for Commissioners than would have settled the whole of the claims. The Commissioner, will be like all the rest, and ib will never Ipo settled. Let the Committee return all claims and sworn statements to the Commissioner, and nob put people to any more trouble and expense andloss of time for fresh applications, unless the Committee is willing to pay for them being drawn out. Let tho last ones be sufficient. Since 1861 up to the present year, I have sent applications enough. lamat a loss to know what they do want.—Yours, etc., A British Navy Claimant. \
