Messes Alfred Buckland and Sons reporb thab ab Remuera on Thursday dairy cows were dull of sale, and ab lower values. Sbore cabbie kepb bheir late prices, particularly fresh-conditioned cows. Calves in full numbers scarcely kepb their juices. Steers were lower in price, about Is 6d the 1001b, prices ranged from 16s to 18s the 1001b ; bub cows fully kept fcheir late values. Sheep in usual supply, above 1,000 yarded, but many were of indifferent qualiby. Fab sheep were bebter worth than lasb week, longwoolled wethers brought 24s 3d ; crossbred webhers, 19s ; shorn, longwoolled ewes, 16s ; store crossbred hoggets, lis 3d; aged crossbred ewes, lambs ab side, 14s the couple. Fat lambs, numerous; prices for medium to good qualiby were from 8s bo 13s each, bub a few inferior were 6s. Pigs in usual supply, young pigs in demand ab full values, bub porkers were lower in price bhan for many months. M esses Hunter and Nolan reporb that there has been considerable animation in the cattle market, there being an average supply without any material change in values. Some averages of fat steers were : £8 13s, £7 I6s 9d, £7 16s 6d, £7 16s 3d, £7 12s, £7 lis, £6 19s, £5 18s, £5 8s 9d ; cows, £5 18s, £5 15s, £5 7s 6d, £4 18s 3d, £4 13s 9d, £4, £3 17s 6d. Sheep were in barely average numbers at Newmarket, and were steadily competed for at values of tho previous week. A line of ewes and lambs sold ab 16s 6d bhe couple ; wethers, from 17s 3d to '23s 3d ; ewes, Ills 6d to 20s each ; mixed sexes, 15s to 15s 6d ; shorn wethers, light weight,, 9s 6d ; ewes, 9s 3d ; lambs, 9a bo |125~6d. Pigs: Bub few yarded, and sold ' freely ab pricoa ranging from 14a to £4 2s

6d each, or from 2d to 3d par lb, live weight.

Messrs D. Tonks and Co. sold by auction to-day ab Brunswick Mart the privileges in connection with the annual race meeting of the Hunt Club, which takes place at Ellerslie on Saturday, October 17th. Tbe prices realised were as follows .-—Sole right publican's booth (outside), £20, Purcell; sole righb publican's booth (inside), £18, P. Quinlan ; cards, £10, Scoct Printing Company; refreshment stalls, £3, Mrs Mclutoah ; stabling, £2, Parker.

The monthly sale of stock ab Kamo was held by Mr Thos. Waklin on Wednesday. The sale vvas well attended, and 1,100 head of cattle were offered, prices obtained being satisfactory. The greab number of cattle and horses penned from all parts of the surrounding districts would throw the conclusion of tho salo late.
