FUNERAL OF MR T. G. SIBBIN.
The funoral of the late Mr Thomas George Sibbin took place this afternoon afc the new cemetery, O'Neill's Poinb. Mr J. Garratb officiated as undertaker, and the remains were conveyed in a hearse to the Devonport; Ferry Tee, where about two hundred friends had assembled, inchiding many members of the Order of Foresters. The father of deceased accompanied the remains from the Hospital to the wharf. Here the hearse and mourning carriage were embarked on the p.s. Eagle. The Foresters, of which order deceased was a prominent member, attended in large numbers, representatives being pre.enfc from Court Zealandia, City of Auckland, Nil Desperandnm, and fche districb officers. From 150 fco 200 gentlemen accompanied the cortege fco Devonport, where another large crowd of friends had assembled. Here fche brethren of Court Victoria joined the funeral, and the procession proceeded fco tbo cemetery, where the Rev. Jnines Hill conducted-tho funeral service. The coffin was literally covered wibh floral emblem", including a large anchor of white .ioweiv, beautiful wreaths, and a handsome cross composed of violets. Amongst the large number of friends thab assembled ab thcTgrave were many prominent in athletic matters.
