THE EASTERN DIFFICULTY.
MEDITERRANEAN FLEET TO BE INCREASED. RUSSIAN PRESS JUBILANT. London', September 7. It is reported that England increases her Mediterranean fleet. The " Standard," in referring to the Eastern difficulty, declares that England is able to safeguard individual interests, and it advises that additional troops should be despatched to Egypt, and suggests the Great Powers ought to insist on equal rights v/iih regard to the Dardanelles. Park, September 7. Doubtful reports are current in the city to the effect that England proposes to convene a conference to consider the question of revision of the treaties applying to the iJalkans and Dardanelles. St. Peteksjsuiio, September 7. The St. Petersburg press is jubilant at the Russian triumph over the Triple Alliance, and insists on the necessity of ending the Bulgarian quarrel by force if necessary.
