LICENSING MEETINGS.

Wanganui, this day. At the annual licensing meeting, one licensee failed to apply. Out of 18 applications, four were refused on the ground of not being required. Ten houses were granted ten o'clock licenses and four eleven o'clock. It was ordered thab hotel lights be kept burning from sunset to sunrise. Dunedin, this day. At a meeting of the Roslyn Licensing Committee, all licenses weie granted for twelve months, after which no licenses will be issued. The Chairman stated that-*hey expected tho law to be observed to the letter, and if unfavourable report* were received at the quarterly meeting, the licenses would be cancelled.
