ANOTHER WRECK.
S.S. TARAMUNG FOUNDERED.
ALL HANDS LOST.
Sydney, June 8. A telegram received this afternoon from Wreckback states that a quantity of wreckage, including a ship's whee l and oars marked "Taramung," has been washed ashore. From this it is believed that the s.s. Taramung, of Melbourne, which was an iron screw steamer of 814 tons net, has foundered during the heavy gales which have prevailed off the coast during the last few days. She was bound for Newcastle to Melbourne, coal-laden. The Taramung was commanded by Captain John Page, with whom were associated Patterson as chief officer, and ; Scott as second officer. In the enginei room were Cree, chief engineer; Me- \ Kenzie, second ; and Robinson, third. ' The names of the crew are :—Scott, , Humphries, Carson, Tipper, Cairns, Nesh,' Siddle, Stevenson, Johnson, Eestock, Gillespie, McFarland, Hume, Anderson, Pollock and Conne. The weather is still boisterous, and there is no sign 01 its clearing up. The only passenger on board the ill-fated steamer Taramung was a Miss Moss, who was returning to j Melbourne owing to the death of her \ father. j The Taramung was owned in Mel- \ bourne by J. Patterson and E. New--1 begin. She was built at Glasgow in ' 18S0.
