POLITICAL AND IMPORTANT
(To the Editor.)
Sir,—l find that throe members of the Cabinet are en route to Auckland, viz., the Hon, R. Seddon (Minister of Defence), tho Hon. J. Mackenzie (Minister of Lands), and the Hon A. J. Cadman (Native Minister). Would ib nob be a good thing to invite thi3 honourable trio to address a public meeting, so that we might from their lips have the salient features of their policy foreshadowed? I am of opinion that good results would flow from a joint manifesto of this description. The old reign of corruption and extravagance has, we hope, become extinct, and in the spring-time of the new era we oughb certainly to be presented with leaves and blossoms if fruit of a bettor dispensation cannot be guaranteed. One would think this matter should bo taken up forthwith by the Committee of the Liberal Association.—l am, otc, John Abbott. Sb. George's Bay Road, Parnell, May 2nd, 1891.
