A terrible tragedy occurred at Lucky Valley about twelve miles from Warwick, Queensland, last Tuesday. A well known and well-to-do selector, named Daniel Sweeney, murdered his wife in a most determined manner and then committed •uicide by shooting himself with a shotgun. iThedetailsfco hand are somewhat vaeue, but \t appears that Mrs Sweeney was engaged to the milkirijr-yard when her husband catno »ut with a gun and shob her ' , b,,t fround did not prove fatal.
