The barquentine Dalmira arrived at Melbourne on the 26th ult. from Maiden Island. H.M.s. Penguin has loft Melbourne for a surveying cruise in Western Australian waters. The barque Devon port, Captain Greenwood, goes hence to Hokianga to load timber for Sydney. The wreck of the Sydney steamer Truganini at the New Hebrides has been sold for the sum of £10 17s 6d. The bricjantine Je&sie, Captain Mahon, is to go hence to Mercury Bay and load timber there for Sydney. The Rio Loge, brig, now ab Kaipara, leaves for Newcastle shortly. She loads coals ab that port for Lytfcelton. The Flying Scud, barquentine, arrived at Newcastle last week after a smart run across of 9 days from Whangaroa.

The Vagabond, barquentine, owned by Captain J. Vos, of Sydney, is loading piles and timber ab Newcastle for Westporb, New Zealand.

The topsail schooner Kenilworbh has gone round to Goldie's mill, Freezing Works reclamation, to load timber for an Australian port.

The Thurso, barque, left Newcastle a few days ago for Mauritius. She leaves the sugar island for the Abrolhos Group, to Joad guano for Dunedin.

The schooner Three Cheers went into the Auckland Graving Dock this morning for cleaning, patching up, and a general overhaul. She loads timber outwards for Australia shortly.

The topsail schooner Clansman, Captain Buehell, has been chartered by Messrs' Donald and for a trip hence down to Rarotonga (Hervey Group). She Bails on Saturday.

Captain Southcotb, who had commanded ths ship British Isles since her launch in 1834, died on the voyage from Newcastle to San Francisco and was buried ab sea on February 15th.

A new and substantially built coasting , scow, fche Bee, built by Mr Meiklejohn, on vthe coast, has pub in her firsb appearance in this porb, with a load of logs from the North. She is of about 40 tons measurement.
