A DESERVING CASE.

SiHj*-The condition of the widow and family of. Mr W. Lomer, whose terribly sudden death was announced in your last issue, is moets distressing. Four young children left on their mother's hands, who has no apparent means of providing for the future. We have already collected a few pounds, and wish to ask you to kindly insert this in your to-day's issue, as an appeal to any who know the family, or are moved by sympathy towards them, to assist us in raising a fund to be expended in some practical method for giving her a means of earning a livelihood. Any kindly suggestions, as well as money, will be appreciated. An account has been opened with the Auckland Savings Bank, where contributions may be paid.—Yours, etc., Koet. Fry. R. J. Souster.
