The manner of taking the votes at th* late Board of Education election was mentioned at the Board meeting this afternoon by Mr Moat. The Chairman stated, that the envelopes containing the voting papers had been cut by two officers of the Board during the reading of tho minutes, and that then the voting papers were taken out and recorded. ' This had beet* done at the request of the Board. Mr Rice stated that the envelopes had been brought in unopened. Three papers had come in plain envelopes, and on tho error being discovered they were at once put in proper envelopes.
