Mails for Port Baric per Poherua close at Westport on Wednesday, the llth inst., at 8 p.m. Mail notice re Wakatipu leaving Wellington On Thursday has been cancelled. Trip abandoned. Mails for the Australian colonies, United Kingdom, Continent of Europe, via Melbourne, per Hauroto, close at the Bluff on Friday, 13th, at 3 p.m. Ordinary messages should be lodged not later than 1.30 and urgents 2.30. Durban notifies that Mauritius mail will close there at 2 p.m. on Thursday. W. S. FURBY, Officer-in- Charge.
