Thames, this day. Golden Age.—The No. 4 reef, which is 12 inohes thick shows-great improvement;. In the drive at No. 2 level colours and dabs of gold are now being freely seen in the quartz. May Queen.—The gas difficulty having been overcome, driving west from the bottom of the winze has been resumed. Lone Hand. —A crushing of 33 loads of quartz from the stopes was to-day finished for 450z sdwt of gold. A trial crushing of six loads from the Manchester lode in the low level drive gave 2oz 18dwt of gold.

Victory (Kuaotunu).—The mine manager reports : During the past week we have been prospecting in different parts of your mine. We have discovered a reef about 4ft wide near the northern boundary. I am stripping it along the surface to ascertain its value. Bonanza and Arizona (Kuaotunu). — Work on the main tunnel has been stopped for the present, and driving is proceeding from different points on tho reef from which the Bonanza crushing was taken. The drives are expected to junction within five weeks. Crushing stuff will be broken out from bhis reef as soon as possible. Lone Hand. —The manager wired today:—"33 loads of quartz crushed for 45ozs sdwts of retorted gold, and 6 loads from the Manchester reef low level for 26z3 18dwts." Victokia.—Eight tenders ranging from 25s to 12s lid per foot were to-day received for extending the drive for the distance of 200 feet. The tender of Wilson and party at 128 lid per foot was accepted. HappyThoughtLicensed Holding (Kuaotunu)—This claim has been formed into 25,000 shares, most of which have been taken up by the old syndicate. It has been determined to offer the balance to the public for the first call of one. penny per share. This claim adjoins the Try Fluke, Kuaotunu, Kaipai, and Hidden Treasure claims at Kuaotunu. Considerable work has already been done.
