TO-MORROW'S EVENTS.
ACT/EON'S ANTICIPATIONS
There are eleven events set down for decision to-morrow, and as usual I will try to help my readers to discover the winner*. The first race starts afc 2 o'clock sharp and is the Three Mile walk. There promises to be eight starters for this race, Kerr oE Dunedin, and Best of Auckland, being absentees. If Burton was as good as he used to be, the race would be all over, but he is noo in good form, and my vote goes to. G. Bailey (Sydney) 1 G. Peace (Auckland) 2 A. F. Burton (Auckland) ... 3 250 Yards (Championship). If all the men can do as good times to" niorrow as they are reported to have done on the track, it should be a great race, bub I have a greater liking to form. W. T. Macphereon (Sydney) ... 1 J. M. King (Wellington) ... 2 M. H. Laird (Auckland) ... 3 Five-mile Bicycle Championship. The Southerners should have a big fight between them for first place. Wilmotfc (Chriebehurch) ... 1 Steadman (Dunedin) 2 Buchanan (Auckland) 3 High Jump. J. E. Hume (Wellington) . ... 1 E. T. Laurie (Auckland) ... 2 Half-mile Flat. This should prove one of the best event s tffcfche meeting. D. Wood (Christchurch) ... 1 R. J. White (Sydney) 2 J. W. Winks (Auckland) ... 3 120 Yards Hurdles Championship. H. W. Batger(Wellington) ... 1 B. Owen (Auckland) 2 W. J. Moir (Christchurch) ... 3 10 Mile Bicycle Championship. The Southerners expect to have it their own way in the cycling events, bub I fancy that A. G. Buchanan, the local champion, will make them ride all they know to get home before him. On their times and reputation I can only tip them : Steadman (Dunedin) 1 Wilmott (Christchurch) ... 2 Buchanan (Auckland) 3 Long Jump. T. F. Upfill (Auckland) should win this, with H. W. Batger second. One Mile Run. E. E. Corner (Sydney) ... ... 1 D. Wood (Christchurch) ... 2 J. W. Winks (Auckland) ... 3 600 Yds Handicap. Thie is a very open race and is rather difficult to pick because a number of the men are not in form. I expect the finish will be between : J. Winks 1 D. Harvey 2 T. Gordon 3 Two Mile Bicycle. I The two mile bicycle handicap may be won by Wilmotb 1 Lecky 2 Nicholson 3
