Miss Vaughan desires to thank all those who assisted her in connection with the performance given at the City Hall on Tueeday evening last in aid of the sufferera by the Huntly disaster, including those who gave their services gratuitoulsy, those who patronised the performance, and aleethe proprietors of the Star and '' Herald " for publishing without charge the prelimi* nary advertisments. The entertainment will leave a substantial amount to be handed over to the Huntly disaster fund, but not quite £50, as haa been stated by our morning contemporary. Miss Vaughan modestly omits all reference to the credit due to herself for her own energetic action in promoting the entertainment and carrying it to a successful issue.
