Watkixs, Drawing Master (Girls' Side). DRILL INSTRUCTOR: J. P. Birley (formerly Sergeant Grenadier Guards). GIRLS' SIDE.—A Girls' Side was opened in September. 1888. It is under the supervision of the Head-matter, who, with some of the Assistant Mastei s, takes part in the instruction of the more advanced girls. But it is distinct from the Boys' Side, though for the present, of necessity, carried on in the same building. The class-rooms on the southern side, to which there is a separate entrance, and the adjacent portion of tho grounds, have been cut off by suitable partitions from the rest of the premises, for the exclusive use of the girls. FEES.—These are : For Pupils in the Lower School, if under the age of thirteen years £2 16s per term; for all others, £3 10s per Term, except that, for two members of one family both chargeable with the higher fee, it is reduced to £3 3s each. All fees are payable in advance to the Treasurer, who attends at the school to collect them, on the first Tuesday and the following Monday in Term. COURSE OFINSTRUCTION—The ordinary course comprises the usual English subiects Mathematics (including Aritameii,), Writing Drawing, Latin. French, and Natural Science' Greek and German will be introduced should a sufficient demand arise. The study of Latin is | optional. Bookkeeping and Mensuration are amongst the alternative subjects for the boys. Pupils who lave commenced with the ordinary course may, ac the beginning- of any term substitute the alternative subjects for Latin. Drill and Gymnastic Exorcises are compulsory for all not specially exempted. WORKSHOP.—There is a suitable workshop, in which instruction and practice in Carpentering, Joining, and Turning can be obtained before O' , after school hours. Subscription, 7s 6d for each term, not including cost of timber used. FIRST TERM. 1891. The School will re-open on TUESDAY, 10th February, at half-past nine a.m. Tho Headmaster will attend to receive the names of applicants lor admission on FRIDAY, 6th Februaiy, from three to a quarter past four p.m., and on MONDAY. 9th February, from a quarter oast nine to half pist ten a.m. The Entrance Examination, winch all candidates lor admission are lejuired to attend, will be held on MONDAY, 9ui February, commencing at ten a,m, R.
