Carbine holrts the mile and a-quarter record for Australia, having run the distance in 2inin 7sec. (2) iridenc carried Bst 71b when he won the Australian Cup in 1887. Nelson had 9st 71b, and ran seuond. (3) Welcome Jack did not win a race when taken to Australia.
