TO THEIR CREDIT BE IT SAID.

That Australians generally are not slow to recognise a genuinely good article—whabever form ib may take—is a fairly wellestablished fact.' Nor does it redound less to their credit that whenever special merit is perceived by them they are no slower in freely acknowledging it, and giving it such support as may lay: i R their power. The Waterburv Watch Company receive from day to day dozens of testimonials from wearers of their watches ib all parts of the colonies—a fact very gratifying to their endeavours to place reliable timekeepers ab a price within bhe reach of all. The following are samples recently received : Mr. Thomas G. McGuire writes from Nyngan : "lam well pleased with the Waterbury as a good, ch.eap watch, posting very little for repair. If I had taken as much care of the Waterbury as I have taken over other watches, ib would not have had to be repaired so soon. However, it has acted admirably under the circumstances, and pleased me very much." Chas. J. "Horstey, Esq., .T.F., C.F.S., Mudgee, writes: "I have much pleasure in stating that my Waterbury watph is, without exception, one of the best watches I have ever owned, although I have had many more expensive. It is a reliable and excellent time-keeper."
