Are There Two Princes of Wales ?
The Royal visitor to Cardiff (remarks a correspondent of the ' South Wales Daily News') would have been stu-prised had he been informed that there was at the time resident in Cai-diff another olaimant to the title of Prince of Wales. And yet so it is. Occupying a comparatively humble position in the social world in Cardiff is a gentleman who claims direct descent from Owen Glyndwr, crowned Prince of Wales at Macby nllath. The pedigree, it is stated, is absolutely unbroken, and its authenticity i« said to have been recognised by the 'highest heraldic authorities. For certain reasons I abstain for the present from giving this gentleman's name and addresf. It would be somewhat; inconvenient, for instance, to find his employer's office surrounded by a curious crowd eager to obtain a glimpse of the heir to the Prince of Wales. If this gentleman happened to be (standing yesterday in St. Mary-etreefc, opposite the "South Wales Daily News" offices facing the legend ' Honfl'ych ! Fab Tywysog Cymru, , he must have felt the irony of fate which caused the crowd to cheer the Duke of Clarence, who occupied the position which, had the fates been more propitious, tha_humble spectator of tho pageant might himself have occupied.
