WATERBURY WATCHES AT THE WORLD'S FAIR.
IN THE ENEMY'S CAMP.
Mr D. Young, of London, who is manager of the Waterbury Watch Company's exhibit, informed me that he i 3 selling: on an average 500 watches a day in tho industrial section of the Children's Falaco, where the Waterbury is also on display ; and I was informed at the Waterbury headquarters, in the Rue Montmartre, whore a store for the sale of Waterbury Watches exclueively has been opened for some time, that the watch i 3 much liked by t.be French people, and the tales are rapidly increasinjj."—Chambeklyne, in the Manufacturing Jewkller. NOTE.—The local agents of the W aterbury Watch Co. desire to draw the attention of would-be purchasers of genuine Waterbury watches to the fact that the word " Waterbury " in email letters, and also the interwoven letters " W. W. C 0.," appear upon the dial face of every watch manufactured by the above-named Company. This caution is, unfortunately, rendered necessary from the fact that it has come under notice that numerous poisons have (much to their diegust) been deceived into buying watches as Waterburys, which were no more Waterbury watches than the moon ig green cheese. The ao-enta of the Company will be glad to have any future cases of such imposition promptly brought under their notice.
