New Alburnia.— The manager reports that Dixon'e reef furnishes o iair amount of crushing dirt. Saxox. —The manager reports that the drive for No. 2 reef is now 42 feeb from where it should be cut at No 1. Break. A good supply of quartz is coming to hand from the stopes and a few pounds of picked stone are occasionally saved, There are 2120z. of amalgam on hand and 151b picked stone. Orlando. —The manager reports that colours of gold are seen at the now level, and 16 loads of quartz arc now being treated at the Moanataiari battery. The hangingwall reofil producing good crushing dirt, and gold is seen freely when breaking down. About 15 tons from this reof are also being treated at the Moanataiari Battery. • May Queejt. —The manager reports that the country in the face of tho drive eastward is still broken up. There ia about three feet of crushing dirt in the face of the second stope, twelve inches in the third, 6 inches in the fourth, 9 inches in the fifth, the same in the sixth, and 12 inches in the seventh stope. There is a good claes of mineral through the crushing dirt in the 6bh and 7bh stopes west of the crosscut. The hot water amalgam on hand to the lsS of December is 6590z sdwfc. Lonb Hand.—The manager reports that gold is seen freely through the quartz in the ninth stope west of winze. Cambria.—The Manager reports that in the leading stope eastward, No. 2 level, the leader shews gold pretty freely. Good crushing dirt is also being obtained from the second stope on No. 7 leader western branch. At No. 4 level No. 7 leader is looking very well and shows gold pretty freely. During the week 51b of picked stone was saved. A crushing of 96 loads of quartz and 651b picked stone returned 201oz 18dwt melted gold. Vizard.—The mine manager reports that in breaking down the reef'last Friday he could see gold freely through the stone, from which he selected 81b picked stone. Since then he hae broken down again and could see a few colours in the stone, bub no picked stone was obtained.

May Qctekn.—Cleaning up has produced 2310z lOdwt melted gold from 285 loads quartz and 131b picked stone. Oriental. — Splendid descriptions of white sandstone continue to be penetrated in the low level drive, and the manager is
cry sanguine of unearthing something good when the Occidental reef ie to hand. The drive ie now in 195 ft. Success. — Excellenb progress is being made with the low level.
