William Smith was arrested by Chief Detective Kirby at noon today upon the charge of having obtained'money and clothing to the value of £4 the property of Mr J. M, McLachlan, draper. Six hundred pounds, we are told, is the value of a splendid show of gloves in Messrs Smith and Caughey's window. There are gloves of every colour and class. The dieplay is unique, and is admirably arranged, and from an artistic point must arrest the attention of pa6sers-by. The windowdressers' art is now bordering on the scientific.
