Act, 1881," and " The Electoral Acts Amend-1 ment Act, 1890," I, SAMUEL YEOMAN" COLLINS, Returning Officer for the Electoral bistrict of the City of Auckland, do hereby give notice that by virtue of a Writ bearing date the fifth Of November, 1890, under the hand of the Clerk of Writs, an Election will be held for the return of three qualified persons to serve as Members for the said Electoral District, and that the Poll, if necessary, will be taken at the several polling-places of the said District on the fifth day of December, 1890. Every person desirous of becoming a Candidate must be nominated by not less than two Electors of the District by a Nomination Paper, as prescribed by Section 5 of the Amendment Act, delivered to the Returning Officer on or before the 27th day of November, 1990. The following are the polling-places for the Electoral District of the City of Auckland :— 1. City Hall, Queen-street (principal). 2. Catholic Institute, Wellington-street. 3.
