An extraordinary meeting of shareholders in the Bay of Islands Coal Company was held this afternoon in Mr H. Gilfillan's office, when Dr. J. L. Campbell prodded. The following- resolutions wore confirmed : — " Thnfc the Articles ot Aesociation of the Company be altered by the insertion therein immediately after article 3 of the following ariicle, namely : 3a The Company may from timo to time, by special resolution, rod ii co its capital." Ie was further resolved on the motion of tho. Chairman, eßConded by Mr T. Peacock, "That the capital of the Company bo reduced from £40,000 divided into 4,000 shares of £10 each, to" £4,000 divided into 4,000 shares of £1 each, and that such reduction be eftected by cancelling capital which has been lost or is unIPpresented by availablo assets to tho extent of £9 per share upon oacli of the 3,000 shares which have beon issued, and are now outstanding, and by reducing the nominal amount of all the shares in tho Company's capital from £10 to £1 per share."
