A NARROW ESCAPE

Gisborne, this day. The Gieborno Gasworks had a narrow escape from destruction by Hre last evening. A quantity of coal burst through tho partition against the walls of the retorts becoming heated, and sob fire to the woodwork. The fire was extinguished without much damage being done.
