Mr A. Elliott) addressed the ejectors of Tanlioa on Thursday evening. Mr Charles Parker in the chair. Tho building was well filled by an attentive audience, who listened with attention to an earnest address, which laeted nearly two hours. The speaker appears to have taken some trouble to post himself well up in all the leading subjects of the day. He advocates a tax on unimproved land values as nprainst the property tax. He also advocates the abolition of the Defence and Native Departments, with a large reduction on the cost of higher education.
