ENGLISH MARKETS AND COMMERCIAL.
London, November 23.. The following were Saturday's prices on the London Market and Exchange : Medium quality mutton tallow, 25s 3d ; beef, 245. The English wheat market shows a general decline, but the Continental and American show a tendency to recovery, and a further rise is confidently anticipated. New Zealand wheat on the passage was spoken of at 36s 3d. Three months bills are quoted at a reduction of a point on account of reduced demand on the banks and discount houses. At the recent auctions of woolled sheepskins there was an average attendance of home and foreign buyers, but the market showed a general decline and prices ruled weak. Crossbreds and fine greasy sold and' merinos at the Bame price.
