TRADES UNIONISM DISCUSSED.

The usual weekly meeting of the Pittstreet Wesleyan Mutual Improvement and Recreation Society was held, in the Wesley Hall last night, with a good attendance. An animated debate took place on the question of Trades Unionism, and its benefits or otherwise to the country. Mr Watts opened in the affirmative, and Mr J. Boyce replied in the negative. Mr Watts by a show of hands won the point at issue, so that the decision was that Trade Unions are beneficial to the country.
