COASTAL SEAMEN'S UNION.
(To tho Editor.) Sic, —I was not surprised to see at tho forming of the Coastal Seamen's Union under the shield of the Knights of Labour that the secretary pro tern. took the action he did, and that the Seamen's Union and Wharf Labourers came out of their shell, when they were forced to do so by the Knights of Labour organising the coasters. Now, I say that the coasters cannot do better than, join the Knights, as the Seamen's Union or the Wharf Labourers' Union is no earthly use to them in attaining their ends. —lam, etc., G. Dean.
