POSTMEN'S AGITATION.

THE STRIKE POSTPONED. London, July 8. The Postmaster-General has given notice that if any of the postmen are off duty at; 5 o'clock to-morrow, they are to ba instantly dismissed. It has been decided that the postmen nob on the regular establishment will be placed on a pension footing. Two thousand postmen have postponed the threatened strike, in consequence of the London Tradea Council having offered them assistance wifchia 12 duya. The Postmaster-General has reinstated the men suspended for having attended the meeting of the Union.
