Also started, Dim, Dick Turpin, The Banker, Blue Peter, Flying Dutchman, and Decision. This race was a chapter of accidends. Jim and The Banker fell at the first obstacle. Dick Turpin then went to the front, and he hold the lead till about a mile from home, where he baulked. This left Hune with the lead, and he cantered home an easy winner. Flying Dutchman and Decision fell at the water jump on the first round. Time, 7min 24sec. Dividends: Inside, £2 14s ; outside, £2 lis 6d.
