THE BARQUE ORSON.
PUT INTO MONTE VIDEO.
A cable message from London states that the large Norwegian barque Orion, Capt. Pettersen, which left Auckland on February 4th with a cargo of kauri, on behalf of the Kauri Timber Company, for London, has put into Monte Video, a South American seaport, in Uruguay, near the Rio do la Plata, in a leaky condition. Latest advices report thab it has bean decided to place the vessel in dock, but ib is uncertain whether she would have to discharge any of her cargo. It is surmised thab the Orion must have encountered very heavy weather in the vicinity of Cape Horn. She was a wooden barque of 1,300 tons, and had a cargo of about 900,000 superficial i feet of kauri for the Home market.
