WHANGAREI.

The annual meeting of householders was held in the Council Chambers. The meetin?, though rather late in assembling, was well attended. The following Committee were elected:—Messrs James Harrison, H. Cook, Eev. J. H. Hawkes, Andrew Hoey, Hutehings, Jaa. Irwin Wilson, and Wm. Broadbent. At tho Commibtee meeting held afterwards, Mr J. Irwin Wilson was elected Chairman, Secretary, and Treasurer. A resolution was passed to be sent to the Board of Education urging that body not to remove Mr Symonds from this school to Maungakaramea. Also a resolution, requesting the Board to extend the time for payment of the painting of the echool for two years.
