Judgment was given for plaintiffs in the following cases: —William Smith v. William Kaiser, claim £3 10s ; John Buckland v. Jeremiah Shale, claifai, £2 9s 10d ; J. C. Seccombe and Son v. G. E. Saunders, claim, £11 5s ; Official Assignee v. F. Berghan, claim, £b 14s ; Seocombe and Son v. Captain Marrott, claim, £3 103 6d; George Clive v. Henry Curtiss, claim, £1 0s 7d ; S. B. Buck v. Robert McAskell, claim, £30 5s Id ; W. R. Cook v. Fred. M. Twining, claim, '£5 10s. defenued cases. Libia Adamson v. Lewis; Moses.— Claim, £6 10s, for alleged wrongful seizure of a sewing machine. —
Mr E. J. Clendon appeared for plaintiff and Mr E. W. Burton for defendant. It was alleged that defendant had eeized a sewioe machine belonging to plaintiff, which -was amongst the effects of Mr J. B. Burloy, who bad given a bill of sale over his eflects to the defendant.—Evidence was given at length "by Mrs Adamson as to her purchase of the machine, and that all monies duo upon it had been paid. Mr Luka was examined as to the fact of making the seizure and the subsequent sale by auction.—Mr Stevens deposed to having purchased the machine in question from Arthur and Buddie for £2 Bs.—Further hearing was then adjourned. Intkkpleadek.—Tauphi Extended Coal Company v. Henry Elliott.—Mrs T. Elliott, the interpleader claimant, was represented by Mr Jackson Palmer, who was instructed by Mr C. R. Tylderi. Mr E. W. Burton appeared on behalf of the Company.—The claim was for £25, and evidence in support of the same was given by Messrs T. Cottor, C. R. Tylden, and Mrs Elliott. A legal point was under argument when we went to press.
