The first prize short-horn bull was a line animal, showing good breeding. Sheep also were shown in fair numbers, two pens of two-toothed Lincoln ewes, being really good. There was only ono entrance in pigs. The show of fruit was a good one bufc nob equal to lastyear'e, owingto the exceedingly dry season, which especially ail'eots bhe Show vegetables. Messrs F. Lawry, M.H.R., and Saiuebury. officiated as judges of the live, stock, and Mr Turner of Auckland was judge of the horticultural exhibits. Some excellent butter, cheese, and hams were shown, also some first-class samples of Tuscan wheat and field beans.
