BURGESS ROLL.

AN INTERESTING QUESTION,

As an outcome of the recent licensing elections, we believe objections have been made to fully one hundred names which appear on the burgess rolls of three wards in the city. Thecse are Ponsonby, City North, and City East, which were the only districts contested at the last election. Action in the matter has been taken by the Temperance party, and, notice having been given to tho individuals to whom objection is taken, the whole question will be fought out in the Assessment Court, now being held.
