De Maus and Halley raised the score to 202 before the former was bowled by McClinchy. He added 18 to yesterday's score, making his total 74. Ogier joined Halley and the score mounted to 207, when a Yorker from McClinchy disposed of Halley, who had contributed 16. Moss, Canterbury's last man, joined Ogier, who, after n.aking a dozen, was caught at long-on by Cowper off McClinchy, the innings closing for 218, Moss not out.
New South Wales' second inning 3 began at 12.30, Cofctam and Cowper facing the bowling of Moss and Halley. Runs came freely, and Wilding and Harman took the bowling. The change was not productive of much good, and Ashby replaced Wilding. His slows were not much use. At lunch the New South Wales score was 48 ; Cobtam 16, Cowper 28, both nob oub; extras 4.
