The sale bf Work in tho afternoon was well attended, and in the evening the hall was crowded, some hundreds of adults and young people, pttfcrotti.irig the "show." The various work afcalls, in charge of a number of ladies of the church, were very w.ll arranged, and the fih6 display of goods were" a groat abbraction. The flowerstalls were mosb artistically get up, wibh choice collection, of Spring tidwers,, and bhe refreshmenb tables wero also most attractive and inviting. The principal feature of fche affair was fche presentation of prices by ticket numbers from the Christftias trfee-i of which there were two on the stagO-'plabform, bending under the weight of a varied assorbmeiit bt gifts, useful and ornaihenbal. • About a thousand or so of prizes were distributed from the trees lftst evening, each visitor 10----ceiving something or other in fche shape of a gift. Mr P. Dignan, Father Hackett, and ethers worked energetically in bhe distribution of fche prizes, assisted by a number ot young lkdies. T_b " beauty show "On the platform during , tho distribution of the prizes was in itself quite worth the price of aa&igsiofi. ; . . During the evening Miss A. Brusnan sang "The Prima Donna "Very effectively, Miss Lynch accompanying, on the piano. A tasteful pianoforce dueb, " The Shepherd s Evening Song," was also given by Misses Brusnan and Danaher. To-day the ealc of work Will be open from i to 5 p.m., and also in the evening from 7 to 10 o'clock.
