THAMES WATER SUPPLY.

(To the Editor.)

Sir, —Your correspondent at the Thames, in his communication to you in Thursday's issue re the above contract, states that the two tenders below the successful tender were informal, owing to the cheques nob being marked. As this statement places me in rather a false posibion as a contractor, I beg to say that my tender was accom IWiiiecl by a cash deposit, nob a cheque. .Anyone interested, on referring to the Thursday's issue of the Thames " Star,'' will sco by the report cf the meeting of the Thames County Council and a letter to the editor, the real reason why my tender was rejected.—l am. etc., Walter Hughes, Contractor.
