The Engineers and "0" Battery held their weekly inspection parade last evening in the • Drill-shed. Captain Payne was the inspecting officer, and after the parade the "0" Battery marched out. Tho Engineers adjourned to their room, and Major Anderson, on behalf of the company, presented Mr Elemes, who is retiring from the lieutenancy, with a set of shirb studs, sleeve links, and a breast pin. He referred in very complimentary terms to the way in which Mr Elmcs had performed his duties. The presentation was received with cheers. The Company sang " lie's a Jolly Good Fellow," and then resolved themselves into a committee for fun, which continued for some time.
