A motion by Mr Alexander re Pierce Lanigan v. the Auckland Harbour Board, for appointment of an arbitrator, which was set down for hearing at the Supreme Court, in Banco to - day, was allowed to stand over until other business was disposed of.
The civil sessions of the Supreme Court will commence on Monday morning next at 10 o'clock. The following cases have been set down for hearing without a jury : Thoß. Rusfcell v. Hamiora Mangakahia, for £67 18s Id, a-claim for an overdue promissory note. Official Assignee in the estate of Robert Hampton v. Isabella Hampton to declare a certain deed of conveyance fraudulent and void. Jennie Westney v. Samuel Gooseman, claim for £200 damages for alleged slander.
" The Vagabond " is having a royal reception in the Hob Lake District in spite of the bad w&ather. He lectures at Rotorua to-night, by special request. His lecture at Auckland is postponed to Tuesday at the urgent wish of many admirers.
