CLAN-NA-GAEL.
The D'Orsay Ogden Company presented a new attraction ab the Opera House lasb evening, in Clan-na-Gael, a new sensational Irish-American play, illustrative of presentday happenings. There was a large audience. The feature of the performance wa3 the impersonation of the "The Shinghawn" by Mr Ogden, and this most difficult r6le received ample justice at his hands. Unforbunabely, Miss Helen Fergus was unable to fulfil her allotted part, owing to a sprain received during the performance of " Uncla Tom's Cabin" on Saturday night, and the character of " Eileen Allannah" was consequently taken by Miss Barnwell at very shorb notice. Considering this disadvanbage, tbe result was highly creditable. Mr Dunbar as Pierce O'Hara, Mr Marschel as Jack Doran, Mr Alexander as . Farmer Dooling, and Mr Power as Lenty were all very successful, as were also Miss Maitland as Mary O'Moore, Miss Melrose as Biddy Magee, and Miss Dawson as Kitty Doyle. Some well-selected Irish melodies were introduced, the besb of which were
"The Weari g of the Green" by Baby Ogden, and a medley dance and duet by Harry Power and Pauline Melrose. The drama was sbaged wibh greab care and good effecb, and bhe scenic arbisb, Mr H. Frahm, musb be complimenbed on the realistic character of several of the scenes. " Clan-na-Gael" will be reproduced this evening.
