" German and French Aggressions in the Pacific," should prove an interesting sub jecb for a lecturer, and that is stated to be the one chosen by Mr Julian Thomas—"The Vagabond." In the hands of so capable a man as Mr Thomas the subject should receive ample justice. He has visited the islands of the South Pacific, has been among3.t the convicts of New Caledonia, and' sojourned at the Soloman Islands. '' The Vagabond " should therefore be able to narrate many interesting incidents in a manner that would put tho average missionary to shame. In Australia, .America, and England Mr Thomas, lectured on various subjects, and although he tells his friends that he is ho orator,-still we feel sure that none will regret having heard his plain statements abo.ut the actions of Germany and France almost at our doors.
