COLONIES.
London, April 22. The " Daily Chronicle " says thai Bismarck is trying to arrange an AngloGerman alliance by which England will protect her colonies in the event of war with France.
It is reported' that Lord Salisbury is favourable to the proposed alliance if the Germans will make a Russian advance on either Stamboul or Herat a casus belli.
