ST. MATTHIAS'S
The annual meeting of the parishioners of St. Matthias's Church Panmure, was held on the 11th of January. The Rev. F. Gould officiated as chairman.
Report.—Mr G. E. Ireland, minister's warden, read the annual report. The statement of accounts showed : Receipts : —Cash in hand from 1887, 14s Bid ; glebe land, £10; special offertories, £3 4s; general offertories, £26 10s 9d; endowment lurid, £34 14s ; voluntary contribution to minister's stipend and church expenses, £3_ 8s 6d; cash from soirse and other sources, £13 16s 9d; loan from Standing Committee for parsonage, ab 7 per cent. £100; collection for parsonage fund, £18 5s lOd ; balance, £3 19s ljd ; botal, £245 13s 3d. Expenditure.—Rev. F. Gould's stipend, £100 ;. interest on Bishop's loan, £4 43 ; special offertories—Melanesian Mission, lis ; Home Mission, £2 3s 9d ; clerical pension fund, 9s 3d; church expenses, £10 4s 2d ; parsonage expenses, £128 ls 6d : total, £2-15 13s Bd. The report and baianca-theeb were adopted.
Officers.—Mr Thompson was then reelected people's warden. Mr G. E. Ireland was re-appointed minister's warden. Messrs Wixon, Morley, W. Kay, Jordon, William Brown, Ward, and A. Loomb were appointed vestrymen, Messrs A. Loomb and Wm. Kay were chosen auditors, and wibh thanks to all who had assisted in church and Sunday-school work during the pasb year, and bo bho chairman, the meebing finished.
