Papers to hand to-day by the s.s. Mararoa show thafc Necklet was among the starters for fche A.J.C. December Stakes, won by Rudolph. The latter only had Bstslbtocarry, and Necklet bad 9_b m.. p ear j Went out second favourite for the Summer Cup, won by Cardigan, and in the Carringtoa Stakes on New Year's Bay she did not gain a situation. The Hon. J. White's Sinecure (by Martini-Henry) won a couple °j races, beating very largo field.?. The V -R.C. Normanby Stakes at Fleming-ton fell to that good colt Carrington, Mom Wto, who put-up a 141b penalty, finished second.
