Sydney, January 8,

Louisa Collins, sentenced tp death for poisoning her husband, was executed to-day. -A serious bungle was made of the execution. The trap, on which the unfortunate woman stood, refused to act, and it was quite thirty seconds before the drop took place after the signal bad been given. All this time the doomed woman displayed wonderful calmness, and when the drop fell the bead was almost severed from the trunk. Mrs Collins was reserved to the last, and made no confession.
